I was hit by Hurricane Katrina twice in a week. After sustaining this level one hurricane at home in Florida, I headed to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to work on a restaurant project. That's when Katrina headed inland from the Gulf Coast, and I experienced the devastation I have managed to escape during all my years in South Florida.
