MICHELLE CARUSO-CABRERA, CNBC ANCHOR: Listen to this one, the Energy Information Administration, the independent statistics and analysis branch of the Energy Department, is accusing OPEC of price-fixing. During a Senate Commerce Committee hearing on whether OPEC has contributed to soaring oil prices, EIA chief Guy Caruso, no relation to me, said the cartel is colluding to push up oil prices by restricting supply. He also said that would fall under the Federal Trade Commission`s definition of price-fixing.
