Sep. 25--CAR DEALER TO COVER MORE MILES: The Jenkins Automotive Group is moving forward with several plans which it hopes will expand its foothold in the central Florida area.

The company, which is headed by long-time Florida car dealer Don Jenkins, is preparing to launch a new Hyundai dealership in Lake County, took sole ownership of a Bradenton dealership operated with former partner Vern Buchanan, is in the process of upping its body shop/collision center to a new 30,000 square foot location, and recently opened a pre-owned auto sales lot on State Road 200.

The Lake County operation will start first under a lease arrangement in the former Gator Harley-Davidson complex on U.S. 441 in Leesburg, and will be permanently placed in a new showroom scheduled to be built across from the Leesburg...
