Every fall, every first of the month, sometimes every Monday, I throw out my scribbly, half-crossed-out to-do list and create a fresh new version, filled with have-tos, ought-tos and want-tos. Of course, by the time I get it all transcribed I'm too overwhelmed to tackle a single item.
