Dreams are funny. They seem so real when you're having them, but once you wake up, they disappear from your mind like a Polaroid in reverse. It's the same with dreams we have for our professional lives. When you first start out, you've got big plans, lofty goals. But as soon as the day-to-day sets in, those dreams have a way of taking a back seat to everything else, recede in the rearview mirror of life until you can barely make them out anymore.
