Sep. 18--OCALA -- LAND BUY LINKED TO TECH FIRM JUST 'PERSONAL,' COMPANY SAYS: A group from California that includes key members of a prominent international technology firm has purchased some commercial land in Ocala, although a company spokeswoman says the acquisition was for personal, and not business reasons.

Kingreg IV LLC, which includes executives with Kingston Technology, a leading supplier of memory products for hardware such as computers, servers and printers, recently acquired what is believed to be about 10 acres of property on Southwest 60th Avenue, just north of the Southwest 52nd Street intersection. The purchase price as recorded with the county was $4.35 million.

Kingston executives listed as part of Kingreg IV include company founder, president and CEO John Tu, and chief financial officer Koichi Hosokawa.
