BILL GRIFFETH, CNBC ANCHOR: By the way, CNBC has been hosting its 4th Annual D.C. Summit in Washington all day today. The event focuses on the intersection of corporate America and policymakers. Maria Bartiromo is in Washington. She joins us now with a special guest there -- Maria.
MARIA BARTIROMO, CNBC ANCHOR: Thanks very much, Bill. And I`m here with Michel Meyer. He is the chairman and CEO of Freescale Semiconductor. We just finished a panel on technology, really talking about different innovations and what`s happening in the semiconductor business.

BARTIROMO: Welcome. A big part of your business is the automotive industry. Your chips are in cars and it`s really a great story because today everything in our car is computerized, right? I mean whether it`s anti-lock brakes or whatever, it always is a computer. Has the struggle situation for the automotive industry impacted your business?
MEYER: No, not really. We are a global supplier of chips. You are right. I mean there are incredible uses of chips in cars. We`re the No. 1 supplier of automotive semiconductors in the world.
BARTIROMO: So you haven`t seen sort of what`s going on with the Big 3 in America,...
