Sep. 11--OCALA, Fla. -- When Glenn Davis came to visit a girlfriend in Ocala just before Hurricane Katrina struck, he wasn't counting on being left homeless and jobless.
Davis, 20, worked in Venice, La. Katrina slammed into the community at the mouth of the Mississippi River first, destroying the fuel docks where Davis worked.
Davis' family home in Bay St. Louis, Miss. fared no better. His parents went back to look at it a few days ago.
"They said it was a pile of bricks," he said Thursday.
