Sep. 9--WASHINGTON -- President Bush awarded Medals of Valor yesterday to the families of 442 first responders who gave their lives at the twin towers four years ago, pledging their sacrifice will not be forgotten.
On the sun-soaked South Lawn of the White House, Bush told 1,500 friends and family members their loved ones "performed their jobs with extraordinary distinction in the face of unspeakable terror."
