Aug. 31--This Saturday night will revolve around the Pier 66 rooftop bar as usual, a final spin before the rotating lounge goes idle on its way to becoming a Fort Lauderdale banquet hall.
The Pier Top Revolving Rooftop Lounge will continue turning once it reopens in December, but only at the request of whoever is renting the space at the time.
The Hyatt-run hotel plans to rip out the bar, install a dance floor and charge between $250 and $300 a plate for parties and events there....
