Aug. 31--Hurricane Katrina's rainy zigzag through Miami-Dade has cost the county $100 million so far -- a price tag that includes debris removal, structural damage at Metrozoo and flooding at hundreds of sewage pump stations.
The $100 million tally, which includes costs to local municipalities, is likely to grow. One big-ticket item not included: the collapse of a highway overpass under construction on the Dolphin Expressway. A private firm is assessing the damage.
