Insider's Guide Fashion

How to always be Fully Covered

By Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig Rosenzweig, a fashion stylist, has dressed Jennifer Garner, Jessica Simpson, and Salma Hayek for big events. We all know to wear a nude bra under a white T-shirt, but evening clothes mean complicated shapes, thinner fabrics -- and plenty of potential for visible panty lines, bra straps, and nipples. While you may not have paparazzi popping flashbulbs at you, chances are someone will make you pose -- and pictures last a long time. * Road-test your outfit. Try on your dress a week before a big event. If it's see-through, you'll have time to buy a slip or take it to a good tailor for a lining. * Buy some under-armor. For A and B cups, a self-adhesive NuBra, which looks like a pair of rubber cutlets that hook together, is perfect to wear under both strapless and backless dresses. If you're busty but your dress can't accommodate a bra, support your breasts with an adhesive bra, also by Fashion Forms, available at lingerie stores. Just lift your breasts, peel off the backing, and stick it on, maintaining a natural shape. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it works well. * Check the rearview. Seamless Cosabella thongs in nude are the sexiest and the most inconspicuous. But with many thin garments, like bias-cut silk, satin, or chiffon dresses and skirts, you just can't wear anything on the bottom. I tell most of my clients to take off the thong and get a full bikini wax. (Yes, that can show through, too.) If you need to hide cellulite, you could try Donna Karan's ...

I recently had a fashion epiphany that came in the form of a gold Prada sweater. It was the kind of glimmering, enticing little It Item that makes you all tingly at first glance. "I don't know," said my Prada salesperson, Ariane, at the Fifth Avenue boutique. "It's a little disco." [ILLUSTRATION
