Fred DeVito and Elisabeth Halfpapp: Fitness Gurus
While most couples pack on the pounds after the wedding, Fred DeVito and Elisabeth Halfpapp never had that problem. "I love pasta," says Halfpapp, who eats two waffles every morning. "We're not advocates of the Atkins diet." Considering their day jobs, they don't have to be. The two met in high school as football player and cheerleader, married after getting fitness degrees, and have been sculpting bodies ever since. After years at Lotte Berk in New York City, they blended Pilates, yoga, and, yes, Lotte Berk moves of balletic calisthenics into one girth-shattering class called Core Fusion at Exhale in New York City. "We get competitive," DeVito says. "But it's all for play, to keep students laughing" -- and to burn off those waffles.

Core Fusion requires nothing but focus, dedication, and a very absorbent towel. The rest is optional: Shiva Shakti yoga tops. "The number-one priority is comfort," Halfpapp says. "These offer that, and style." Amma yoga pants. These have a wide waistband that can be folded down when you're hot or pulled up to warm the lower back. Plus, "I can wear these on the street without thinking twice," she says. Chin-up bar (not pictured). Never mind the chin-ups. Just place your arms shoulder-width apart, with your hands facing away from you and thumbs above the bar, and hang for 10 to 30 seconds at the beginning and end of each workout.
