--CBIZ McClain Accounting, Tax & Advisory has announced the appointment of Audie W. Alsopp and Pilar L. Escandon to managers, and the promotion of Angela B. Conway and Damien P. Stewart to supervisors.
CBIZ is one of South Florida's largest full-service accounting, tax and advisory companies.
--Alan L. Sheinfeld and Allison Creely have announced the formation of Sheinfeld Creely Certified Public Accountants with locations in Hollywood and Delray Beach. The firm will concentrate its practice in the areas of family law litigation support, forensic accounting and business valuations.
--Florida International University has appointed James M. Bond as university controller within FIU's division of finance.
As the university's top accountant, he will be in charge of overseeing operations with an annual budget of more than $630 million in addition to areas ranging from student financial services to financial reporting.
Before joining FIU, Bond's 15-year career included work with organizations such as Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Sunglass Hut International and Deloitte and Touche.
