Nowadays there are so many product recalls we may not be able to print all of them in CHOICE. For comprehensive recall information go to the Federal Treasury website: www.recalls.gov.au. If you don't have web access, call the Consumer Safety Unit on (02) 6263 2747.

Companies often rent 1800 numbers for a couple of months after a recall is announced. If the number given is no longer operating, phone the manufacturer or retailer direct.

STROLLER: Mountain Buggy has recalled some 2005 Urban single strollers and 2005 Urban double strollers. See Choice Cuts, page 5, for more information.

FOOD: The Geographe Cheese Company has recalled Petit Fromage, 100 g tub, best-before date 1 June 05, distributed in WA.

The problem: It may be contaminated with E. coli

What to do: Don't eat it. Contact your GP if you have any health concerns. Check your freezer for any affected product and return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For more information call (08) 9751 1865.

FOOD: Action Supermarkets has recalled BBQ thin sausages and Beef BBQ sausages, various sizes, with use-by dates between 14/02/2005 and 20/05/2005, sold in Action Supermarkets in northern NSW and Queensland.
