One of a series of Blackwell's "Companions to Geography," this volume of 32 essays stands alongside others devoted to economic, political, and feminist geography, among others. Given the scale of the enterprise, its publisher's reputation for innovative geography books, the number and prominence of its editors and contributors, let alone a price that would swallow a semester's book budget for the average student, the appearance of the Companion to Cultural Geography should be a major disciplinary event.
