MIAMI _ Throughout this preseason, Dolphins coach Nick Saban has been reluctant to name a No. 1 quarterback. He's dismissed the meaning of a depth chart and has been unwavering in his stance that there is competition "at just about every position on the field every day."
So after watching Gus Frerotte perform Saturday evening against the Buccaneers, we now have a better understanding of Saban's hesitation in naming him the starter.
Saban will likely have no option but to go with Frerotte come Sept. 11 against the Broncos. It's not like A.J. Feeley did much during his time Saturday behind center. But Frerotte's performance against Tampa Bay didn't exactly make you...
