NEW YORK _ Mike Francesa and Chris Russo usually don't agree on much, but the two-ton afternoon combination of WFAN (66-AM, New York) radio marched in lockstep when it came to a recent discussion of one particular baseball topic.
Chicago White Sox: Force or fraud? Both Mike and the Mad Dog cast their votes for the latter.
"Paper tiger," Francesa said in rapid dismissal of the American League's winningest team.
Francesa predicted the White Sox would lose in the first round come October.
On and on it goes for the White Sox wherever they travel this summer. And it only figured to get worse after they lost eight of nine during a recent skid.
"We really don't care what everybody thinks," says White Sox closer Dustin Hermanson. "They've been saying that the whole year. We're just doing everything we can to win games. When the postseason comes, it's a totally new season. I'm just thinking we're going to have a lot of momentum...
