BILL GRIFFETH, CNBC ANCHOR: We have a Bull and a Bear with us today. Linda Duessel is our equity -- is our Bull. She`s the equity market strategist at Federated Investors, and she says stocks have at least one more ally waiting in the wings. Our Bear is Russ Koesterich. He`s a senior portfolio manager at Barclays Global Investors. He says rising interest rates and slower consumer spending should push stocks even lower.

I welcome you both. Linda, let me start with you. We`ve had a sideways market even as rates and oil have gone higher here. What will spark the market to go higher in your view?
