Williams Field Services contracted Technip Offshore Inc. on an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) lump sum basis to supply the Devils Tower oil and gas export pipelines. Technip was responsible for all the detailed design work on the pipelines, including the fatigue analysis of the steel catenary risers (SCRs), as well as procurement, fabrication and installation.
The main 18-in. diameter export pipelines run from MC-728 alongside the Devils Tower location in 5,200ft (1,575m) of water to shallow platforms in about 280ft (85m) of water. The oil pipeline goes to MP-313...
