In today's world, the municipal swimming pool is no longer just for teens and tots. From babies to seniors, experienced swimmers to first-time non-swimmers, the leisure pool must not only meet a community s diverse aquatic needs, but also provide an unlimited amount of user interaction within the facility. This way, the aquatic experience will be different every time--and keep guests coming back for more.

To that end, our dream facility takes the community's heritage and storied railroad history and reflects that value in the imagery, design and layout. Every aquatic component has a connection to the community. Play features, specifically designed for each age range, allow for three key components: flexibility financial viability mid expandability. What's more, features may be added, moved or interchanged without the need to replace infrastructure.

Of course, there's plenty in the existing design to keep users happy for years. Active water play areas for children are juxtaposed next to relaxing ones for sunbathers or grandparents. Zero-depth entry encompasses a third of the entire pool perimeter. This design allows users to disperse over a wider area, reducing crowding and congestion.

Just opposite the shallow water are body tube and speed slides. All these components--along with a wave pool, a lazy river with both active and calmer channels, and deck observation areas--create the entertainment value required for a successful leisure pool facility.

But dream facilities must also be financially self-sustaining. Again, that is where the facility's design comes into play. Water-related activities outside the facility allow families to paddleboat, picnic or play in the sand. Offering a place for social interaction will increase gate attendance, whether by socializing m full-service concession areas, shopping in a sundry store, enjoying sun turf areas or simply sitting and observing one of several active play zones.
