Who? Mischa Barton. What? The February cover of Allure, shot by Michael Thompson. Where? At Pix Studio in Chelsea. When? November 2nd. Barton took the red-eye from Los Angeles to New York City and arrived a few hours before the 10:30 a.m. shoot. Why? The escapades of Barton and her costars have spawned countless imitators, while her wardrobe has gained a following of its own. She's currently shooting The O.C. and filming The OH in Ohio opposite Paul Rudd. Warming Trend: Barton, who was raised in New York, dressed like a native in a black Prada jacket and black sweater, over a black skirt by Club Monaco, and suede Steve Madden boots (in, yes, black). Smart Food: Before the shoot began, Barton ate a bowl of yogurt and read the New York Post. Later, she finished the paper while lunching on grilled chicken, salad, and a granola bar. Phone Home: Barton called her father, who lives in New York. "It's Meesh!" she said excitedly. "Can you come down?" When Paul Barton walked into the studio, his daughter screamed, "Daddy!" and gave him a huge hug. Bunny Hop: When asked what she'd done the previous weekend, Barton laughed. "I went to a party at the Playboy mansion. The first person I saw was Frankie Muniz from Malcolm in the Middle. He was talking to three bunnies. I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him away." Life in the Fast Lane: When the shoot ended, Barton did an interview with Billy Bush for Access Hollywood, then rushed off to the Late Show With David Letterman. The next ...
