Celebrities' quests for rock-hard bodies and souls can take them from the sublime to the ridiculous. To uncover the strangest of these treatments, we went to a Vanity Fair party, the Tony Awards, the Fragrance Foundation Awards, and an Allure dinner for makeup artist Stephane Marais. Sigourney Weaver discovered the importance of following directions: "I tried beer in my hair, but I didn't read that you have to rinse." Linda Evangelista used "that shampoo you put in to kill the yellow in your hair. I left it in too long, and my hair ended up purple." Rosario Dawson "meditated into the New Year naked." Kate Beckinsale discovered, "Warm stones didn't do anything for me. They're supposed to make you enlightened." The only revelation Vera Wang had after her mud wrap was, "It was wet and muddy -- what was I smoking?"
