He's Julia's mane man. And he's had brushes with Cameron and Beyonce. Serge Normant reveals a few of his best star hairstyles. By Danielle Pergament
Hairstylist Serge Normant will never forget his first professional brush with celebrity. "I was 17, and I was working on my first big job, a television show in Paris," he says. "The actress on the show was a very famous celebrity in France -- and my grandmother's absolute favorite. She sat in my chair and asked me to give her hair a little oomph, not a whole style. Well, I was so starstruck. My hand was shaking so much, she had to take the comb away from me and do her hair herself. Those kinds of experiences last ten minutes but stay with you for a lifetime." Normant never worked with Madame again, but that didn't seem to hurt his career any. In the 22 years since, he's brushed, teased, and sprayed every recognizable mane in Hollywood and the fashion world.
