March 12, two days after Hudson flew from Los Angeles to New York City with her husband, musician Chris Robinson, and their baby boy. Why? The actress plays a modeling agent who inherits three orphaned children in Raising Helen and stars in the romantic comedy Can You Keep a Secret? early next year. California Girl: Hudson walked into the studio carrying two-month-old Ryder, followed closely by his nanny, Lisa. Hudson wore an oversize knit poncho, a moss green C & C tank, baggy Capri jeans, and black wedge boots. Ryder was also in laid-back California cool: a rainbow-striped tee, red fleece pants, and red booties. Service With a Smile: Hudson asked for a Starbucks latte but abstained from the lunch of bruschetta, roasted eggplant, and chicken. The actress did fill a plate and bring it to Lisa, who sat holding Ryder on the couch. Kiss Me, Kate: Robinson wandered into the studio in the early afternoon, greeting his wife and their baby with a kiss. "Chris and I met in New York, so there are a lot of memories here," Hudson said. Hoop Dreams: Robinson shot hoops in the studio with Thompson while Hudson had her hair and makeup retouched. When she passed by in a J.
