Private Eye

How will you look tomorrow morning? By Jeffrey Slonim

If anything takes the sting out of watching impossibly luminous stars parade down the red carpet, it's imagining their smeared mascara and matted hair the next morning. At the Vanity Fair Oscar party and an Entertainment Industry Foundation benefit, we asked celebrities to describe their day-after look. Michael Michelle summed it up nicely: "Didn't sleep, drank too much." Vivica A. Fox exclaimed, "I'll probably have a hundred pins in my hair and will be jumping into a warm-up suit ASAP." Rosario Dawson predicted, "I might end up with Jimmy Choo marks on the bottoms of my feet." Queer Eye's Carson Kressley planned to turn his morning crumple into a fashion moment: "I'm doing the Today show in the morning. It will be my 'stayed at the party' look -- open up the tie and throw on the sunglasses."
