Sizing Things Up I have been reading Allure for a number of years and have never been so dumbfounded as I was by the April cover line "Jessica Simpson -- Temptress in a D Cup." What in heaven's name could the size of her breasts have to do with whether she is a temptress, a singer, or a woman? Do you not yet realize that the size of a woman's breasts is irrelevant to who she is, what she does, and will be (well, except for the fact that I, who have been a D or DD since the age of 13, can't golf very well). I am now in my 40s and have spent a lot of time trying to divert people's eyes and minds from my breasts, explaining that they are just a tiny part of who I am as a person -- and that a woman is much more than her individual parts. I'm a guy, and Allure is not usually on my required-reading list. But when I saw the heart-stopping image of Jessica Simpson on the April cover, I was spellbound. I picked up a copy along with my usual issues of FHM and Maxim. I was stunned to see that Allure's photos were twice as hot as the ones in either of the men's magazines.
