Sizing Things Up I have been reading Allure for a number of years and have never been so dumbfounded as I was by the April cover line "Jessica Simpson -- Temptress in a D Cup." What in heaven's name could the size of her breasts have to do with whether she is a temptress, a singer, or a woman? Do you not yet realize that the size of a woman's breasts is irrelevant to who she is, what she does, and will be (well, except for the fact that I, who have been a D or DD since the age of 13, can't golf very well). I am now in my 40s and have spent a lot of time trying to divert people's eyes and minds from my breasts, explaining that they are just a tiny part of who I am as a person -- and that a woman is much more than her individual parts. I'm a guy, and Allure is not usually on my required-reading list. But when I saw the heart-stopping image of Jessica Simpson on the April cover, I was spellbound. I picked up a copy along with my usual issues of FHM and Maxim. I was stunned to see that Allure's photos were twice as hot as the ones in either of the men's magazines. And the great story inside showed that Jessica Simpson is nobody's fool. I'll keep an eye on Allure in the future. Stephen Lee Roldan Aiea, HI
