Full Brows
Define and thicken brows in three easy steps. By Cara Birnbaum
You'd think the trendsetters of the world were hatching some evil plot, the way they declare a fondness for thin brows one month and thick ones the next. If you tweeze to the specifications of the first whim, then you certainly can't satisfy the second by willing your brows to grow back. The situation smacks of a conspiracy. There is a reasonable solution. FIrst, put down the tweezers, and pick up a powder and pencil designed for filling sparse brows. Most pros use a little of each: the pencil to cover bare patches and the brow powder or eye shadow to define and thicken overall. "If you have fair blonde hair, go one shade darker," suggests New York City eyebrow specialist Ramy Gafni. "Everyone else should go one shade lighter." While most trends seem to swing from one extreme to the other, this one is different. "Thicker" is a relative term -- and it doesn't mean unkempt or bushy. "No one," says Gafni, "should use this look as an excuse to go around looking like a caveman."
