She's a Natural

Who? Kirsten Dunst. What? The September cover of Allure, shot by Michael Thompson. Where? At Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles. The actress drove to the shoot in her black BMW SUV. When? May 20. Why? This month Dunst plays a rising tennis star in the romantic comedy Wimbledon opposite Paul Bettany. She is currently filming Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown, with Orlando Bloom, Susan Sarandon, and Jessica Biel. Fresh Hair: Dunst arrived right on time, wearing a gray Viktor & Rolf blazer over a red-and-white flowered Marni dress, with yellow-and-gray leather Mayle slingbacks. Her hair was freshly cut by John Sahag. "I love it!" she said of the look. "It's so Mia Farrow!" Eternal Sunshine: Despite the early hour, Dunst was full of energy. She declined a cup of coffee and set straight to preparing her favorite breakfast: Honey Nut Cheerios and soy milk. She even offered some to the crew, exclaiming that she loves the taste of soy so much, she may never drink the real stuff again. For lunch she had fried chicken, salad, and an iced soy-milk latte. Beautiful Music: Dunst brought along her iPod in a baby blue carrying case. While being photographed, she played a Modest Mouse mix (twice) and Tom Petty's Wildflowers. Wag the Dog: Makeup artist Scott Andrew showed the actress a photograph of his dog. Dunst then told Andrew about her own best friend -- a German shepherd named Atticus. Blondes Have More Fun: While some actresses might be aloof on a photo shoot, Dunst sat in the studio's driveway, basking in the sun and chatting with the assistants. "We're all blondes!" ...
