The Skinny on Kate I saw your cover of Kate Hudson [July]. She's gorgeous and a great actress. However, you describe her as "voluptuous." Kate is one of the thinnest role models in our society! "Voluptuous" is one of the only words that positively spotlights a curvaceous woman, and Allure uses it to describe a woman who would find a size 4 dress roomy! Little Shop of Horrors I watched the show Blow Out after your article on Jonathan Antin ["Lights, Camera, Blow-Dry," June]. One episode made it clear to me why he's not a bigger success: bad karma. Antin embodies all the qualities that make a boss a monster. He brings up issues in front of customers and accuses his staff of lying to him without checking the facts. After accusing his assistant of lying, he apologizes by saying, "You know I love you." No, he doesn't. Antin's cutting skill is also suspect. He seems to give every client the same layered haircut and cuts it using basic techniques. Antin imposes his vision of femininity on all his female clients. Talented stylists make money because they see each client as an individual. I hope the show makes Antin realize that he behaves in an atrocious ...
