Better Set
Better Set f it ain't broke, don't fix it" may be fine for some, but not Nivea, Biore, Avon, and Vaseline. In the past months, each has revamped its top-selling skin products to boost their efficacy. Nivea infused its Visage Q10 face and eye creams with creatine, an amino-acid derivative that helps minimize wrinkles. Biore slit the bridge of its pore strips to fit tighter over the nose. And for extra moisturization, Avon added shea butter, jojoba oil, and vitamins A and E to its Skin So Soft products. With a 70 percent increase in glycerin content, Vaseline's Intensive Care Total Moisture Body Lotion is now one of the company's richest formulas. More proof that change is good. Bottom Line: Several skin-care companies are following Darwin's theory, adapting their popular products to ensure their continued survival.
