Jul. 26--OCALA, Fla -- Ocala's sizzling housing market showed no sign of slowing last month as prices and sales remained high.
According to the Florida Association of Realtors, the median sales price for a home in the Ocala area for June was $137,500, up 24 percent from the previous year. And while statewide home sales slowed, local home sales jumped 4 percent over last year.
But a local representative for FAR, which released the sales figures Monday, said the numbers were likely incorrect for Ocala because Realtors hired a new company...
