Reconoce el grupo que la gente no escucha sus nuevas canciones
MÃXICO.- El grupo estadounidense Village People, que se presentará en México el próximo viernes, reconoció que aunque ha grabado varios álbumes recientemente, no ha logrado alcanzar la popularidad que sus primeros hits le dieron.
"Por alguna razón el público prefiere lo más viejo, nuestros éxitos, asà que ya decidimos no cambiar nuestra música", dijo Felipe Rose, quien se viste de indio americano.
"También como el house y gran parte de la música que se toca hoy en dÃa es un poco más agresiva, nosotros hemos mantenido nuestro estilo que es más para divertirnos y salir de fiesta".
Respecto a la postura gay con la que el grupo ha sido relacionado a lo largo de su historia, Jeff Olson, quien se disfraza de vaquero, aseguró que hoy en dÃa tiene una mayor aceptación, pero al mismo tiempo negó que Village People en conjunto tome una orientación especÃfica con relación al tema.
