Premier's food and forms: mega-awards to Uarco, Standard Register, Alliant.

On the heels of reports that Premier Inc. has been making its lucrative contract awards almost exclusively to market share leaders, the influential supergroup made an award to a number three player. Last month, it was the forms segment that shook from a Premier award, a huge contract to Uarco Inc., Barrington, Ill., that will net the supplier at least $500 million over the five-year term of the deal. The agreement, which also includes two option years, covers comprehensive forms and forms management services.
