NPCA-lead coalition awarded grant for lead projects.

Washington, D.C. - The Coalition for Lead-Safe Communities, an organization formed by the National Paint and Coatings Association and several other industry groups, was awarded an AmeriCorps grant to carry out lead risk-reduction projects in Baltimore, Minneapolis and Charleston, S.C.

The grant was awarded by the Corporation for National Service

The partnership of the coalition and the three communities, called the "Community Lead Education and Reduction Corps" (CLEARCorps), is a not-for-profit organization that will conduct the demonstration projects.
