Troy, Mich. - DuPont and Renner Herrmann restructured their joint coatings venture to consolidate and strengthen market leadership positions for automotive and industrial finishes throughout South America. Terms of the restructuring were undisclosed.

The new venture, to be renamed Renner DuPont, S.A., will concentrate on automotive and industrial finishes and will replace a previous venture that included architectural and other types of coatings.

Under the restructuring, DuPont's Venezuelan finishes operations, Duvenca, will operate within the venture, and DuPont will provide automotive and industrial finishes technology.
