New Windows on process control

PC Soft has introduced a `soft process controller' which enables a PC running Windows NT to operate real-time industrial process control applications.

WizDCS provides a graphical configuration system that is designed to run continuous, batch and discrete control applications.

Function block diagrams, flow charts and scripting that is compatible with Visual Basic for Applications are provided. One set of tools can be combined for both continuous and batch control, while object-oriented program development tools promote reusable code to save time.

Advanced control algorithms include auto-tune PID and a predictive model-based controller.
