Employees of larger marinas are more likely to receive a benefits package.
Not all full-time, year-round marina employees can expect a benefits package along with their salary, according to the 1998 Boating Industry Marina Survey. Data from the survey indicate that fewer than 64 percent of marinas offer health and/or dental insurance. Other benefits, such as life insurance and retirement savings plans, are offered even less often.
