Dow Chemical purchases CELACOL brand cellulose ethers

Midland, Mich. - The Dow Chemical Company announced that it has purchased the CELACOL range of water soluble polymers from Courtaulds Chemicals (Holdings) Limited. Transfer begins immediately and is expected to be completed over the next few months. During this period Dow will shift production from Courtaulds' UK-based facility to its METHOCEL cellulose ether facility in Stade, Germany.
