Powder coatings sales continue rise in third quarter. (1993 sales statistics)

Alexandria, Va. -- North American sales of thermoset general decorative powder coatings for the third quarter of 1993 rose 26 percent in pounds over the same quarter in 1992 and 25 percent over the first nine months of 1992, according to the Powder Coating Institute.

Total powder sales topped $105 million for the quarter, an 18-percent increase over the third quarter of 1992, resulting in a 19-percent increase over the year-to-date figure for 1992. Powder coating sales for all of 1993 are projected to approach 185 million pounds, the institute said.
