In Oklahoma, where oil and gas production was once king and now represent a flagging source of tax revenue, state house leaders have created a new legislative subcommittee on oil and gas production and regulation. The new body will focus on the industry's contribution to Oklahoma's economy and its impact on state and local tax revenue.
