Medrad, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa., began targeting hospitals and CT imaging clinics last month with the company's Qwik-Fit Syringe Front Load Injector System, which was released in April and is being sold through Medrad's direct sales force of 50 reps.

The product is a disposable syringe with a front end loading system, and is used with contrast media power injectors for CT scans. The Qwik-Fit system is unique because the syringe has a front end loading system and is made out of a clear plastic, said Michael Howard, Medrad chief financial officer.
