THE NEW ENGLAND Society for Coatings Technology got its 1992-93 year off to a whale of a start -- literally -- as society members set off for a "Whale Watch" and clambake at Gloucester, Mass. on Sept. 19.

The event is just one example of the society's diverse activity agenda in the technical, educational and social areas.
