Gerard Semhon, president and chief executive officer, Integrated Management Group, his newly formed consultancy, is well-known to the cosmetics industry, having directed small to medium-sized companies as well as large divisions of major corporations for the last 25 years. He started with Grey Advertising, then Benton and Bowles, moving to the client's side where he held various marketing management positions with Colgate-Palmolive and Mennen. Semhon, like many of our industry executives, is a graduate of the "School of Revlon," having served as part of senior management of the International division. He moved on to become president of Payot-Pavlova Worldwide (then a division of ITT), then president of Helena Rubinstein USA. In 1983 he rounded Parlux Ltd., where he served as president and ceo. (Parlux is the worldwide distributor of Anne Klein, Anne Klein II and Francesco Smalto fragrances.) He left Parlux in 1990 to form Integrated Management Group. Semhon holds an MBA from New York University and a bachelor's degree from American University (Cairo, Egypt).
