A.R. Jennings Jr. of Mobil Oil Corp. has patented a method to enhance steamflooding where at least two horizontal wellbores are used. Carbon dioxide is injected into a lower perforated horizontal wellbore. Once sufficient [CO.sub.2] has been injected, steam is injected through the lower horizontal wellbore.
