CARIBBEAN BUSINESS has learned that the president of First Federal Savings Bank, Angel Alvarez, has raised his ownership of the bank's stock in recent weeks from 2.95% to about 4%.

"I'm optimistic about this institution," Alvarez told CARIBBEAN BUSINESS. "Our earnings prospects for 1992 and beyond look highly promising." (See CARIBBEAN BUSINESS front page story, Jan. 23, 1992.)
