Ports Authority delivers ultimatum to developers to begin construction of facility or agency will take over project

Developers of the proposed 240-room hotel at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (LMM) have until March to begin construction of the property or the Puerto Rico Ports Authority will take over the project.

"The hotel is the only project being held up at the airport," said Jose A. Buitrago, executive director of the Ports Authority. "We sent the developers a letter informing them that they had 90 days as of January to begin construction or the Ports Authority will take over the project."
