Two Puerto Rico banks open new branches

After weeks of delays, Banco Nacional N.A. last Saturday turned over its main branch on F.D. Roosevelt Avenue in Hato Rey to Santander Federal Savings Bank. On Monday, Nacional opened a new main branch in the Banco Nacional Plaza building on Ponce de Leon Avenue, also in Hato Rey.

With the sale, Nacional now comfortably meets all federal capital requirements. The bank also has branches in Caguas and Rio Piedras. For Santander …
