Brier Technology builds a faster floppy

New 25-megabyte floppy disk made 70% faster than previous products by building internal caching into Flextra drive

Brier Technology recently announced the development of a 25-megabyte floppy disk which has increased the performance of this new, very high-density floppy (VHDF) disk drive by 70%. According to Brier Technology executives, changes in firmware have allowed for an increase in speed of the floppy by ten times on sequential reads of small files with a drive that is twice as fast on random writes of large records.
