Govt. corporation will provide jobs for ex-prisoners
Commonwealth Justice Secretary Hector Rivera Cruz indicated last week that a law aimed at creating a new government-owned corporation will provide the means for convicted criminals to earn wages and provide for their families' support.
The Justice secretary referred to legislation approved on Aug. 6 creating the Job Training and Work Enterprises Corp., which he said will make work programs available to prisoners while they are serving a sentence, and afterwards.
